Lost Station
From JComServ Documentation
Being a longtime fan of Sierra On-Line's Space Quest series, I've had an interest in the AGI format and the Free Software surrounding it. I did some digging, and located two interpreters, Sarien and NAGI, as well as the AGIStudio application, which allows for creation of new games, as well as examination and editing of existing ones.
Long story short, I got nagi and agistudio into Fedora. I tried to include Sarien, but gave that up when that project merged into ScummVM, which is already in Fedora. I find that NAGI is good for testing games during development, but for playing, especially the old Sierra games, I like ScummVM, as the sound support is better and it implements shake.screen(), which NAGI does not.
So, finally, after years of curiosity and research, I began my own game. Not on an Amiga 500, but on Linux, and for all platforms, Lost Station, when complete, will be the story of a hapless tech worker in a strange future, and his adventures as he tries to survive, explore, and ultimately get his job done.
